Corrections & Fact-Checking Policy
At ABE NEWS, accuracy is an important part of our journalism.
We aim to publish clear, accurate, and well-sourced information about business, finance, technology, Africa, global affairs, culture, and other topics covered by ABE NEWS.
Fact-Checking
Before publishing an article, ABE NEWS aims to verify important facts using reliable sources.
Depending on the story, these sources may include official government information, company announcements, financial reports, regulatory filings, recognized news organizations, research institutions, and other credible sources.
When reporting information originally obtained by another publication or organization, we aim to clearly identify and link to the original source when appropriate.
We do not intentionally present rumours, speculation, or unverified claims as established facts.
Corrections
Despite our efforts, mistakes can happen.
If ABE NEWS discovers that an article contains a significant factual error, we will aim to correct the information as quickly as reasonably possible.
When a correction materially changes the meaning of an article, we may include a correction or update notice explaining what was changed.
Minor spelling, grammar, formatting, or style changes may be corrected without a separate notice when they do not change the meaning of the article.
Updates
News develops over time.
ABE NEWS may update previously published articles when important new information becomes available. When appropriate, significant updates will be identified within the article.
Sources
ABE NEWS believes readers should be able to understand where important information comes from.
We aim to use credible and relevant sources and provide attribution or links when appropriate.
Our own analysis, explanations, and commentary may be based on information gathered from multiple sources.
